THREE LAKES – Forty-nine completely different artists introduced their work to Three Lakes’ 15th annual Art on Main.
“You see all different kinds of things here, and people’s love and hard work is in the pieces,” stated artist Jeannine Holzman.
Holzman received the choose’s alternative first place award for her array of hand-painted silk.
She says she used to work a company job, however that modified 10 years in the past when she found her ardour.
“I started painting because I got invited to do a class,” stated Holzman. “My sister took me to a class, and I couldn’t stop.”
The occasion is a fundraiser for Three Lakes Center for the Arts, a company devoted to creating its city a cultural hub.
“The big thing we get out of this is awareness in the community,” stated Collette Sorgel, president of Three Lakes Center for the Arts. “Our main goal is to make sure people enjoy the arts and learn about the arts, especially the young people.”
