Ingredients –

(Serving – 2)

four bitter gourds

2 onions, chopped

2 tomatoes, chopped,

1 inexperienced chilli, chopped

1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

Half tsp cumin seeds

Half tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp coriander powder

Salt to style

Red chilli powder to style

A pinch of asafoetida

1 tsp lemon juice

Method –

Step 1 – Wash and dry the bitter gourd. Grate or finely chop it. Add about half teaspoon of salt, combine nicely and preserve apart for 5-10 minutes. This course of helps tone down the bitterness of the vegetable.

Step 2 – Saute asafoetida and cumin seeds in oil. Then, saute onions, inexperienced chilli and ginger-garlic paste until onions change color to pink, not brown.

Step three – Add grated bitter gourd and saute together with the onions for 5-6 minutes.
