Long Weekend Recap + 24 Days of Togetherness

Hi, guys! I hope you had a pleasant lengthy weekend!

Our weekend was good – a mixture of pals and enjoyable + leisure and the same old weekend chores. I like being busy on the weekend, however I additionally benefit from the downtime as properly. There’s simply one thing so soothing about beginning the week with a fridge full of meals and all of the laundry cleaned, folded, and put away. Ok, properly, the putting-away-the-laundry factor doesn’t occur each week, but it surely did this time! 🙂

Friday night time, we went out to dinner at CAVA. We’re nonetheless obsessed, particularly since Quinn loves the child’s meal and we are able to order forward on the app, which makes life eight zillion occasions simpler. Plus, CAVA is simply so darn scrumptious. I actually might eat it on a regular basis and possibly not get sick of it!

Saturday night time, Mal and I went out to dinner at Riva with pals. We sat on the again bar, which is tremendous cute and, oh, so cozy for the colder winter months. Dinner was completely scrumptious. We ordered the mussels and meatballs to share, after which I had the salmon with gnocchi and roasted carrots as my entree. Mmm!

After dinner, we headed again to our pals’ home for a sport night time, which, to our shock, included a gender reveal! Our pals purchased a small cake with the massive reveal inside – it’s a lady! Mal and I had been so pumped to be included in our pals’ particular second! 🙂

Meanwhile at residence, Quinn was making Grandma’s particular chocolate chip cookies with Papi and Lori, who volunteered their babysitting providers for the night time. Not paying for a babysitter = one of the best! Mal and I joke it’s like a half value night time out! 🙂

On Sunday morning, Mal and I did the ol’ child switcheroo for Orangetheory. He went to the 9:00 AM class, and I took the 10:15 AM, so we “handed off” Qman between courses.

I’m truly actually loving Orangetheory recently. I’m getting a lot sooner and stronger on the treadmill, and the progress that I’m seeing is so motivating. I’m solely going to 2 courses per week, however I’ve critically thought of rising my membership. My solely reservation is presumably getting injured. Running and overuse accidents are all too widespread for me. Maybe I shouldn’t push my luck?

Yesterday included some morning errands after which Quinn had a playdate with one of our neighbors. Our neighborhood has quite a bit of youngsters his age, so it’s good we’re beginning to get to know the households higher to coordinate playdates and different actions.

I additionally spent someday yesterday looking for recipes for Friendsgiving and Thanksgiving. We’re bringing an appetizer and dessert to every celebration, so I’m leaning towards this oldie, however goodie (and simple!) Roasted Grape Baked Brie Crescent Ring and a Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie, which is gluten- and egg-free, so I’ll be capable of get pleasure from it too! 🙂 If you need the recipe, simply drop your electronic mail right here, and I’ll ship you the recipe!
