A woman who used to eat 5 takeaways a week has misplaced 5 stone – over a third of her physique weight – after a holiday was ruined resulting from her measurement.
Amy Hodgson, 24, weighed 14 stone (st) 12 kilos (lbs) earlier than her weight loss, and was a dress measurement 16/18.
She refused to pose for pictures together with her boyfriend throughout a journey to Iceland, as a result of she was so anxious about her measurement.

The 5”four instructor, who comes from Liverpool, says her journey to Iceland together with her boyfriend Jonathan was “ruined” after she was handed an XXL sized gown.
She stated: “Visiting Iceland was speculated to be the journey of a lifetime, however I felt prefer it’d been ruined as a result of of how I felt about my weight.
“I felt embarrassed to be in a swimsuit and that’s simply not me in any respect – earlier than I gained weight I used to be so assured and cozy with myself.
“When we went to gather our robes I used to be handed an XXL – the identical measurement as Jonathan,” she added.
After Amy returned from holiday, her sister requested her to hitch Slimming World – and this was the motivation she wanted to drop the weight.
She stated: “I decided to stop putting it off and just went for it. I’d tried so many diets in the past but they were all quick fixes – I knew if I wanted to get rid of the extra weight for good I had to make changes for life.”
The weight loss program proved “a revelation” for Amy, who says she “couldn’t believe how much [she] could eat.”

“I’d been having 4 to 5 takeaways a week earlier than becoming a member of Slimming World, so this new approach of meals was a revelation,” she added. “I went from barely cooking in any respect to being the chef of the home.”
Now a slim dress measurement eight/10, Amy has misplaced 5st 3lbs, and now weighs 9st 9lbs.
